The Choir sings a very varied programme, from ancient music of the 16th and 17th Century, the Baroque period of Bach, Vivaldi and Handel on to Classical Music from Haydn, Mozart, Brahms and Mendelssohn.
More modern examples of the Choir’s extensive repertoire are pieces from Ralph Vaughan Williams, John Rutter, Paul Simon and many other popular 20th Century composers including Folk songs and Spirituals. Medleys from various shows also feature.
We aim to sing music which is both enjoyable to sing and which will appeal to audiences, with many pieces which audiences will recognise.
The Choir also has an extensive repertoire of Christmas music, both carols and secular, and is available to perform Christmas concerts at Churches and other venues.
The Choir is registered with Amazon as an eligible Charity. If you buy from Amazon, you can log on to “Amazon Smile” and select The Occasional Singers as your chosen charity and then proceed with your purchase. A small percentage of your purchase price will be assigned to us.
